Agreement to Terms

By accessing and using the services of UrbanLab Centreville Decks, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our services.

Services Provided

UrbanLab Centreville Decks provides professional deck building, repair, and maintenance services. We offer custom deck design and installation, composite deck installation, deck repair and restoration, deck replacement and rebuilds, wood deck installation, deck railings, stairs and safety upgrades, deck staining, sealing and painting, and pergolas, patio covers and outdoor structures.

All services are subject to availability and scheduling. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any time.

Estimates and Quotes

All estimates and quotes provided by UrbanLab Centreville Decks are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated. Quotes are based on the information provided at the time of assessment. Final pricing may vary if the scope of work changes or unforeseen circumstances arise during the project.

We strive to provide accurate estimates, but material costs and labor requirements may fluctuate. You will be notified of any significant changes before work proceeds.

Payment Terms

Payment terms will be outlined in your service agreement. Typically, we require a deposit before work begins, with the balance due upon completion. We accept various payment methods including cash, check, and credit cards.

Late payments may be subject to additional fees. If payment is not received within the agreed timeframe, we reserve the right to place a lien on the property in accordance with Virginia law.

Project Timeline

We will provide you with an estimated timeline for your project. While we make every effort to complete work on schedule, timelines are subject to change due to weather conditions, material availability, permit delays, or other unforeseen circumstances.

You will be kept informed of any delays or changes to the project schedule. We are not liable for delays beyond our reasonable control.

Warranties and Guarantees

We stand behind the quality of our workmanship. Labor warranties vary by project and will be detailed in your service agreement. Material warranties are provided by the manufacturer and may vary by product.

Warranties do not cover damage caused by improper use, lack of maintenance, natural disasters, or modifications made by others. Regular maintenance is your responsibility and is essential for the longevity of your deck.

Liability and Insurance

UrbanLab Centreville Decks is fully licensed and insured. We carry general liability insurance and workers compensation coverage for your protection. However, we are not liable for pre-existing conditions, damage to underground utilities not properly marked, or damage caused by circumstances beyond our control.

You are responsible for ensuring that all permits required for the work are obtained. We can assist with the permit process, but ultimate responsibility lies with the property owner.

Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel your project after work has begun, you will be responsible for all work completed to date, materials purchased, and any non-refundable deposits. Cancellations must be made in writing.

We reserve the right to cancel or suspend work if payment is not received, if access to the property is restricted, or if conditions arise that make it unsafe or impractical to continue.

Property Access and Preparation

You agree to provide clear access to the work area and to remove any obstacles that may interfere with our work. This includes furniture, plants, and other items in the work zone. We are not responsible for moving or protecting items you have not removed.

You also agree to secure pets during work hours and to ensure that children are kept at a safe distance from the work area.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on our website and will take effect immediately. Your continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

Dispute Resolution

In the event of a dispute, we encourage direct communication to resolve the issue. If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes will be handled in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia. Any legal action must be brought in the courts of Fairfax County, Virginia.
